How do I make my credentials public?

In order to link your credentials to your identity and web3name, you need a Sporran wallet, credentials, and a KILT on-chain DID.

You can then make any credentials you own public by linking them to your on-chain DID via a service endpoint such as GitHub public or IPFS. In this way, your credentials are accessible to anyone who searches your DID or linked web3name on https://w3n.id/

See our step-by-step PDF guide to linking credentials via GitHub or follow the steps below to link to other service endpoints:

Download your credential from Sporran

Upload your credentials to GitHub public or IPFS

Copy the URL of where it’s stored

Open your Sporran

Click “Manage on-chain DID”

Click “Service endpoints”

Click + Add service endpoint

  • URL: Enter the URL where you have stored your credentials

  • Type: Enter the type - Twitter, email address, etc.

  • Service ID: this is filled in automatically
