Are there private (not published) and public (published to blockchain) DIDs in KILT?
Your personal decentralized identifier (DID) is generated by you on your computer via the Sporran wallet. It remains private on your computer (unless you share it with someone) and is not published to the KILT blockchain.
You may decide to publish your DID on the KILT blockchain by upgrading it to an on-chain DID via Sporran. This requires a refundable deposit of 2 KILT and a small transaction fee (currently around 0.0045 KILT).
