Why would anyone create public credentials?
Public credentials can add extra, publicly visible information about an NFT. This could be simple “likes” or, for example, a credential from the marketplace of the NFT verifying that the NFT is part of their collection. These credentials can be linked to any NFT on any blockchain or platform, but remain linked to the NFT even if ownership changes, adding value to NFTs and making counterfeit more difficult.
